Thank You! Sandstone Doubles Down for the Calgary Public Library Foundation

The Calgary Public Library Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle was a great success! With a total pot of $17,490, the winner and the Library Foundation each took home $8,745. Thank you to everyone who participated! Sandstone Energy proudly doubled its donation to the Library Foundation for April to further support their efforts.

Also in April, the Library Foundation launched The Fifth Book Campaign, a response to rising book costs and record-breaking Library membership. Since 2019, book prices in Canada have climbed by 20%, meaning the Library can now only afford four books for every five it once could. With over 818,000 Calgarians holding a Library card, demand continues to grow, and the fifth book is needed now more than ever.

From May 6–27, you can support the campaign by bidding in their online spring auction. Bid on items that include appliances, private experiences, gift cards, event tickets, art, and more - there’s something for everyone.
